Obama Blames Congress (Again), not his Regulatory State. Governing under a 9.1 percent unemployment rate, President Obama lauded his regulatory approach and blamed Congress for stagnant economic growth.  EPA alone has piled on more than $20 billion in compliance costs and it estimates that over 58,000 jobs could be lost as a result.

Among other things, the Obama Administration has regulated:

  • the Internet,
  • greenhouse gases,
  • for-profit universities,
  • individual companies like Boeing.
