NEWS RELEASE: AMERICAN ACTION FORUM RELEASES PRINCIPLES FOR MEDICAID REFORM

WASHINGTON – American Action Forum President Douglas Holtz-Eakin today issued the following statement after outlining core principles for Medicaid reform:

“Medicaid is a broken program that fails to provide adequate care to our nation’s neediest citizens and in order to improve quality and ensure its long term solvency, reform is necessary,” said Holtz-Eakin. “The American Action Forum’s Operation Healthcare Choice has identified five core principles for reform focused on increasing flexibility for states, more choices for recipients and modernization. Medicaid is an important safety net and its recipients deserve efficient, quality care.”
