Christopher Frenze was the Executive Director of the Joint Economic Committee (JEC) of Congress.  He also served as Republican staff director of the committee, and as an economist on its staff since 1981.  While with the JEC his research interests included international economics, tax and budget policies, labor economics, income statistics, and income mobility.

Over the years, Mr. Frenze has advised a number of members of the JEC including former Chairman Jim Saxton, former Majority Leader Dick Armey, and the late Senator Bill Roth.

Prior to joining the JEC, he was director of research for a trade association.  He received an undergraduate degree in economics from American University, and did graduate work in economics at Virginia Tech.
